2017 Year End Wrap-up

2017 has been a year of celebrity babies, Donald Trump, royal engagements, #metoo controversies, devastating hurricanes and fires, social media platforms and Taylor Swift’s comeback. As this year comes to a close, I’d love to highlight some of my favorite fashions from 2017.

Sneakers are here to stay…at least for now! Paired with anything from a dress to your track pants and worn to the office or the gym, sneakers had a great year!

Slogan tees showed up on the runways and made their way to mainstream. Tacos & Tequila to Feminist AF, no matter your stance in life, there’s probably a tee for you!

Oversized jackets took the helm this year too. Worn over your slinky slip dress or post-gym attire, the oversized jacket was everywhere.

Ruffles on your skirt, ruffles on your shoulder, ruffles were all over in 2017. From pretty dresses to flowy tops, paired with ripped jeans or beautiful heels, ruffles weren’t just for the girly girl anymore.

Camo, camo and more camo! From comfy tees and easy tops to cool sneakers and silk blazers, camo was the “it” print this year.

Statement booties were the footwear of choice. White, sparkly, embellished or floral, the bootie was a way to show your flair for fashion.

Our shoulders were on display in 2017. From one-shoulder tops to off-the-shoulder dresses, we couldn’t get enough of the cold shoulder trend.

As 2017 ends…and so does this post, let’s remember, most trends come and go, but some have more staying power. Fashion is full of surprises…and that’s what I Iove. I can’t wait to see what’s “in store” for 2018!
